It was more than contempt in my case...far more. It was a plot. 38 years married. My ex had schemed with her mother and her sisters to get me out of the house....fake a domestic assault complaint, have me arrested by the RCMP, she gets the house and I am gone. One of my brothers-in-law was a friend for over 40 years...he had overheard the plotting and called me to warn me. I was prepared for the "confrontation". I was in my own bedroom, lock on the door. She went berserk because the door was locked...I asked her about the scheme, and in her rage she admitted it. It was way beyond contempt. That was 10 years ago, haven't trusted a woman since.
