Thanks for your message. I appreciate how thoughtful your response was. Just to clarify, words like “always” are dangerous in relationships. Being intrigued by your partner means you find new things to love and to be interested in their life. It doesn’t mean you are always in love or trying to find someone to meet an impossible standard of perfection. Just that you like them enough to be interested in a long-term committed partnership. You can’t force yourself to be interested in someone who doesn’t intrigue you. You need that. You just do.
